With rapid growth and a highly seasonal trading model, they are now bringing paid marketing in-house and investing in performance to drive profitable, long-term growth.
As the Senior Paid Advertising Manager, you’ll take full ownership of our performance marketing activity, starting with PPC and paid social (Meta), and expanding into new channels over time.
You’ll be hands-on in building and optimising campaigns, while shaping a full-funnel approach that supports sustainable customer acquisition. This role is ideal for a commercially minded, data-driven marketer who thrives in fast-paced, peak-driven eCommerce environments.
Responsibilities
PPC -Google Ads (Primary Focus)
- Set up, manage, and optimise all Google Ads campaigns (Search, Shopping, Performance Max, Display), with a focus on profitable customer acquisition.
- Own campaign structure, keyword strategy, bidding strategy and ad copy; brief the Content Creator for support on high-converting messaging.
- Manage and optimise the product feed (via Merchant Centre), ensuring readiness ahead of peak trading periods.
- Monitor campaign performance and market trends daily, taking proactive action to improve ROAS, reduce wasted spend, and increase efficiency.
- Plan and manage campaign budgets, ensuring appropriate pacing and impact across different gifting occasions.
- Conduct A/B testing on ad copy, targeting, bid strategies and landing pages to continuously improve campaign performance.
Paid Social – Meta & Emerging Channels
- Plan and execute Meta (Facebook/Instagram) campaigns across prospecting, retargeting and retention stages.
- Collaborate with the Brand Manager and Social Media Executive to brief and optimise paid social creative for performance outcomes.
- Test new audience segments, placements, and campaign formats across funnel stages.
- Explore and validate emerging channels (e.g. Reddit, Pinterest, YouTube) to diversify acquisition over time.
- Adapt messaging and delivery in line with trading conditions and seasonal campaigns.
Performance Monitoring, Reporting & Analysis
- Work with our Senior Ecommerce Data analyst to build and manage weekly and monthly performance reports using Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, GA4, and Triple Whale
- Monitor attribution, ROAS, CPA, and customer acquisition cost; make data-driven decisions to improve performance.
- Forecast campaign performance and contribute to budget planning, especially in the run-up to key peak periods.
- Translate performance insights into actionable improvements across targeting, creative, and landing experiences.
Strategic Ownership & Testing
- Lead the transition of all paid activity from agency to in-house, ensuring smooth handover and continued performance.
- Develop and own a structured test-and-learn roadmap across ad formats, audience targeting, creative, and channels.
- Inform landing page and CRO initiatives based on campaign performance and user behaviour.
- Partner with the digital and trading teams to align paid strategies with stock, margin, and promotional calendars.
What we are looking for
- Proven experience managing hands-on PPC and paid social campaigns in a fast-paced eCommerce setting.
- Strong understanding of Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, GA4, and attribution tools (e.g. Triple Whale).
- Commercially minded with a clear understanding of ROAS, CPA, and the levers of profitable customer acquisition.
- Experience planning and scaling campaigns for high seasonal demand and peak trading events.
- Highly organised, proactive, and confident managing budgets and performance data independently.
- Comfortable working without agency support—hands-on in campaign build, optimisation, and reporting.
- Strong communicator who collaborates effectively with internal teams to deliver high-impact campaigns.
