As Finance Executive, you will be responsible for day-to-day processing of all transactions into the purchase and sales ledgers (including credit control), maintaining stock records and the bank reconciliations, general ledger journals and credit control. The Role

• Maintaining the Purchase ledger on a day-to-day basis.

• Resolving Supplier queries, including ensuring month end supplier statement reconciliations are performed.

• Reviewing the Goods Received Not Invoiced (GRNI) ledger on a weekly basis, to ensure all GRNI’s match to purchase orders and purchase invoices, and resolving any queries in a timely manner.

• Reviewing stock quantities, stock pricing and stock adjustments on a regular basis to ensure that stock is being valued in an accurately.

• Reviewing carriage costs on a weekly basis, with Customer Care & Logistics manager ensuring suppliers bills and customers invoices are accurate.

• Reviewing Sales ledger on a weekly basis with the Accounts Assistant.

• Creating and posting general ledger journals on a monthly basis.

• Reconciliation of month end balances (Banks, HP liability, VAT control, Customer deposits etc.)

• Processing monthly journals.

• Preparation of proposed weekly supplier payment (BACS) runs and monthly management accounts

• Support Accounts Assistant with queries and questions.

What we will need from you?

• Experience within an ‘in-house’ finance team

• Experience of operating in an ERP based environment

• Able to work under pressure and to deadlines

• Thrives in a team working environment

• Passionate about providing excellent service to stakeholders

• Good computing skills and knowledge of financial tools
